  2. What is MintDesk??

  4. MintDesk is the (development, Beta release) MiNT version of TeraDesk.

  6. What is TeraDesk??

  8. You don't know??? Where have you been??? TeraDesk is the greatest 
  9. replacement desktop for the Atari ST(e)/TT/Falcon range of computers!!
  10.  
  11. What do you need??
  12.  
  13. An Atari computer (or perhaps a gemulator), MiNT (tested only with 
  14. MiNT 1.10, with the addroottimeout patch) and to make things look 
  15. good a Minix file system (tested with version 0.60 PL 10) or 
  16. something else which supports long filenames with lotsa dots and 
  17. stuff..... (ramfs.xfs)

  19. What is MiNT??

  21. The 'new' mulitasking kernel of the Atari operating system. If you 
  22. do not use MiNT, MintDesk will not be of any use to you (read: it 
  23. will not work).

  25. How does it work??

  27. It functions in the same way as TeraDesk (V1.40 or there about). I 
  28. refer to the documentation supplied with TeraDesk for an in deapth 
  29. anser to this question....

  37. This is a development version, it may work it may not. It may destroy 
  38. your harddisk or to keep things short USE MiNTDesk AT YOUR OWN RISK. 
  39. The programmer Wout Klaren and I Ric Klaren wave any responsibility 
  40. for damages forthcoming out of the (mis)use of this software product 
  41. (MiNTDesk) e.g. you if you use it all responsibilty for damages 
  42. forthcoming out of the use of MintDesk is for you (you were 
  43. warned!!!).

  47. - during copies/moves executable flags etc. are not copied a long.

  61. possible) the error, programs running, tos version, mint version 
  62. (PureC or gcc or ..), device drivers + versions, filesystem drivers + 
  63. versions, etc.

  66. of TeraDesk, he is not actively supporting this product! If you 
  67. have remarks, bugreports etc. send them to the above addres.

  72. other channels. Do **NOT** ask me nor my brother to send you the 
  73. latest version of MintDesk by (snail) mail, you won't get it (a bit 
  74. harsh I admit but I don't intent to start a mail order 
  75. company....:)). New versions will be released as soon as they become 
  76. ready.
